One thing that this game does add to the gameplay are some point-and-click adventure style sections which do help keep things from getting stale. You read a bit of text, try to learn what makes a character tick, and then pick the response you feel is right. It is your typical visual novel game in many ways. I am pretty sure there are seven different endings in Dreams of Desire: Definitive Edition and there are different dialogue paths that can occur as you make your way to those endings. There are different endings and different paths, but the basics here are that you want to use your powers to bang all of the chicks, oh, and avoid being sent to military school.
